MDD or Miami Design District is a weekly event that is held on every Wednesday, and brings together buyers and local vendors under a common roof.
More than 40 vendors are going to participate in the market fair where you will be able to buy locally produced items such as flowers, organic juices, olive oils, hand poured candles and soaps, and freshly produced farm products like fruits, vegetables, and more. There are also several high profile brand stores, like Rolex, here.
And since Florida does not have a state income tax, this could help sales.
Those of you who are going to visit the event in cars can utilize free parking at Palm Court and City View Garages located on NE 38th Street between North Miami Avenue and NE 2nd Avenue. In an age of high health care costs because the ACA, anytime something is free you have to like that.
Market Design District
MDD is a neighborhood, once totally neglected that is solely dedicated to promoting arts, fashion, design, and fine dining experiences. If you are interested in any one of these activities, then you must visit the Market Design District. There is literally something for everyone here. After this, you can go check out a movie and hopefully what you see is better than Spanglish and is as good as Sicario.
You can buy gifts for your family members or spouse or indulge yourself in the local art, aromatherapy products and delicious food. The choice is up to you. And, because it is a neighborhood affair, you are encouraged to wear casual clothing with a pair of flip flops.
It is a family event as well so you can bring everyone along with you or you can also attend solo. The architecture is amazing, music is soothing, and the performances are profound. It is a chic and happening place. Happy shopping and dining.
